Hold on 2 Overcome
It all began with one amazing experience with a cell phone that just had to be shared. This message is in our book "101 Promises to Hold On To". That story was told to everyone that would listen that day and then the idea came to share the message on social media. There were more than a few responses about how that story had encouraged people so the next day another story was posted and then the next day, and the next day. The realization was that even during the trials and tribulations there was something positive that was going to happen in every day and by sharing it somone else could be inspired . Every day there was a sign, an encouragement, some strange or unordinary occurence that got me through the day and so in opposition to defeat I posted it.
More and more people tuned in and actually began to expect a daily H2O message. We needed a name and with much deliberation and an inspired conversation with a friend the name Hold On 2 Overcome was birthed and we couldn't help but see the acronym H2O. We needed a visual image and I was led to a very talented young man that said he understood the vision. Two days later my phone rang at 1:30am on a Saturday morning and the voice on the other end said excitedly, "I GOT IT!" He sent what is today our H2O logo.Then he said, "Do you see it? The red is the blood." H2O
Holding not Hanging
"Hanging in there" is a popular response to the question"how are you doing?" That term itself hanging leads to imagery and manifestations of struggles, despair, desperation, hopelessness, even death. Few people survive a hanging let alone experience a breakthrough or a victory from hanging. The startling realization is we don't have to hang because someone else hung for us. We no longer have to hang in there but instead we can Hold On to promises and the power to fulfill them. So the response and the message then becomes, HOLD ON! With your hands, feet, teeth... by any means necessary.
Though the rope may be burning and you're Holding to a thread, just Hold On! God is faithful. He can do ALL things in His time and He will not fail. Jeremiah 33 reminds us that He has done it for others, and He will do it for... ME! How will you know, if you let go? So Hold On. HoldOn 2 Overcome. H2O
H2O is for Sharing
Our goal and purpose for H2O is for these messages, these stories, these books, and this website to be shared. We envision you coming to this site and having an experience, an experience so touching and inspiring that you just can't keep it to yourself. We want you to see something immediately pick up the phone, call someone and say, "You have to see this". We want you to order a H2O book for yourself or maybe receive a H2O book as a gift and have you share the message with someone who needs to read that message also. We would love for people to leave comments here on the website telling us they heard about H2O because someone sent them a screenshot or a picture of a post with the message, "Today is a great day for your breakthrough!"
That is how we will measure our success by cares and shares.
H2O is Perspective
Is it a picture of a sunset or sunrise? Well it all depends on perspective and perspective is how you choose to look at any particular situation or moment in time. Human beings have the amazing ability to think, to reason, to search through their collection of experiences and then decide how they are going to react to any new experiences. We can't always choose our circumstances but we do have a choice in what we are going to do about it. Yes, you can choose.
Good or bad, happy or sad today is a new day and it really is a great day for something to happen. Great things happen all the time for everyone and all around us. All of us have experienced difficult days and all of us have experienced great days so all we have to do is Hold On for the next great day that we know is coming. That family, is a perspective. You can try it, practice it, incorporate it, and repeat it to yourself over and over again until it sinks in. "Today is a great day for something good to happen. Today is a great day for a miracle. Today is a great day for my breakthrough!
